Ashtanga Yoga
This class is a guided session where all students practice together following the Vinyasa count led by the teacher.
The Ashtanga Vinyasa system is based on synchronized movement and breathing.
The led class is guided with the traditional count of Vinyasa so that each student learns the methodic rhythm of the practice.
We will focus in the Dhristi points, the Sanskrit term for sight, of each posture so to bring the practitioners closer to Dharana orconcentration in the practice.
This class is great for fit beginners and those seeking to build their strength and stamina, or for regular practitioners who want to focus on the first half of primary series.
The purpose of the class is to learn and maintain the correct order of the asanas and correct vinyasa – how to synchronise breathing and movement
Over time and with consistent practice, the student will be able to do the entire practice in an uninterrupted, rhythmic, and meditative flow.
